SDSU is partnering with Handshake, a leading online career platform, to connect students with thousands of employers– including every Fortune 500 company. You can find job and internship opportunities tailored to your interests and skills from across the U.S.; connect with alumni and students in your field; and register for on-campus job interviews, career fairs and workshops – all from the palm of your hand. Try the Handshake app on your phone or access from your laptop.
The SDSU men’s basketball team is off to its best start since a certain player named Kawhi Leonard was on campus, and the 2019-20 Aztecs are bringing the national spotlight to the university.
The team is in the heart of Mountain West Conference play, and it’s easy to show your support. Don’t worry about livestreaming or whether the game is on a network carried by your TV package. Student tickets are free, so come join the raucous scene at Viejas Arena in person – four home games in the next month!
SDSU ranks fifth in the nation in the number of students who embark on study abroad experiences, and you can learn more about how to take part at the Study Abroad Fair on Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the North Library Walkway. International experiences range from a few weeks to a year, and financial aid is available for those facing financial challenges.
Follow our new group of Be International study abroad bloggers for the spring semester to see where other students are studying and traveling and what they think of their experiences.
With most classes open to current SDSU students, the rebranded SDSU World Campus will provide innovative programs designed to meet the training and workforce needs of the many communities SDSU serves. There will be a greater emphasis placed on online courses, off-site programs and other nontraditional modalities. Any credits, degrees or certificates earned through SDSU World Campus will hold the same academic and professional weight as they did previously from the College of Extended Studies or any other San Diego State University college.
Ready to make a difference? Run or apply for a leadership position in Associated Students, the student organization that helps run SDSU in shared governance with the SDSU president and the University Senate.
In addition to five A.S. executive officer positions, there are 33 other leadership positions up for election. If running a campaign isn't for you, consider applying to serve on the A.S. Board of Directors or one of 14 other appointed leadership positions.
Applications for elected and appointed positions are available beginning Jan. 31 in the A.S. Office in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union, Room 320. Info sessions for prospective leaders will be Feb. 10-11.
