Business Finance & Administration Internship
First United Methodist Church of Chula Vista

Wage: $15/hour

Description: The Business Finance & Administration position reports directly to the director of Finance & Administration. Some tasks might include (but are not limited to) preparing outline and training materials, assisting in the preparation of the preschool budget, preparing monthly financial statements and reports, updating and revising the current employee handbook in accordance with new state laws, accounts payable and general ledger, and other various business admin tasks as assigned. All interns are required to attend weekly cohort meetings – day, time and location TBD – and monthly Campus Conversation events (open-invitation events on SDSU campus to facilitate conversation around passion, purpose, call, and work/life balance.

The internship program aims to provide hands-on ministry experience for college students within the church and on the local college campus. The program consists of the following elements: paid internships for SDSU students (about 13 hours/week), weekly intern cohort meetings with mentor, monthly Campus Conversations @ SDSU, expenses-paid International Mission Experience. Through these internships and activities, students will be given the opportunity to experience servant-leadership; learn from church leaders, both lay and clergy; be guided through thoughtful discussions centered on passion, purpose, and call; and engage in meaningful conversations with their peers.

Electrical Engineering Internship

Description:The electrical engineering intern will perform duties related to the development of AC and DC power conversion hardware, at the system and circuit level, during the product development cycle. The focus for this assignment will be on a new design and release new product family of AC or DC source. Tasks will be to create, develop, evaluate, simulate, and debug circuits for new technology like bi-directional DFC, CLLC resonant switching.

Description: Provide technical and analytical support in the fields of computer science, information systems, electrical engineer or computer engineering for the Naval Command and Intelligence Project. The purpose of this project is to provide support in the areas of knowledge management and the full software life cycle to the Department of Defense.
