Social Media/Marketing Assistant

Description: The Social Media and Marketing Assistant is responsible for representing the organization online and offline, with the ultimate goal of increasing constituent engagement, event participation, and campus & community branding. This position reports to the Event and Marketing Coordinator in Career Services. Some tasks include: research, pitch, compose, and schedule social media content for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, & LinkedIn. Incorporate the mission of Career Services with own unique voice to create a distinct brand on CS social media. Collaborate with graphic designers to create social media content, attend organization events to take photos and record videos, track social media engagement and create monthly reports, inform and engage SDSU constituents including students, faculty, alumni, and employers, distribute event flyers throughout the campus, organize and assist with special events, and other duties as needed

Student Assistant - Passport Acceptance Agent

Description: The Student Assistant- Passport Agent position consists mainly of processing applications for U.S. government issued passports. The position requires the Passport Agent to be trained to be an official passport acceptance agent following U.S. government guidelines - training is provided. Selected applicant must be a U.S. citizen with proof of citizenship and must pass a background check. Selected applicant must complete a mandatory 8-hour training in order to process U.S. passport applications. Time Commitment: must be available to work 8 - 12+ hours per week, must be available to work during the academic year (including summer), must have Saturday availability, and a minimum of one year commitment

Staff Accountant

Description: The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for reconciling non-baseball events, merchandise sales, inventory reports, associated baseball accounts and maintaining their corresponding general ledger for both internal and external reporting. Duties include: reconciles baseball special events, off-season non-baseball events, and off-site events. Reviews and prepares monthly accrual entries related to travel, broadcasting, and benefit expenses. Processes monthly settlements from minor league affiliates, reconciles authentic merchandise sales and inventory reports, and reconciles bank accounts for the Dominican Republic Academy and Padres Foundation. Maintains general ledger schedules related to accrued expense, authentic merchandise, and special events revenues. Analyzes accounts for completeness, discrepancies, and necessary adjustments. Ensures compliance with GAAP, MLB, and third-party reporting requirements. Serves as backup support for deposits, accounts payable, and game reports. Prepares journal entries, accruals, general ledger imports, account schedules, and other related accounting tasks. Collaborates with other departments to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial information, and assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
