Sleep Lab Director’s Assistant
Scripps Health Foundation

Wage:$15/hour

Description: Sleep medicine specialist Dr. Cheryl L. Spinweber needs part-time help in her sleep medicine office in La Jolla. The office assistant will help during winter and spring breaks and during exams to answer the phone, return phone calls, assist in the scheduling of patients, and help setting up and organizing charts. We will train you in how to do these duties.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, neat and well-groomed, who pays attention to detail, has a good vocabulary and good telephone skills. Accuracy with the patient data, including spelling of names, recording phone numbers, and insurance identification, is essential for this job. Hours in the range of eight to 12 hours per week. Must be available Tuesday and Thursday.

Office Assistant
SDSUcard Office

Wage:$13/hour

Description: Main responsibilities include providing customer service to SDSU faculty, staff and students; supporting HR staff with special projects; assisting with incoming inquiries and responding to or referring callers as appropriate; scanning and indexing various documents into a content management system; distributing incoming department mail; sorting and packaging outgoing mail; and other duties as assigned. Clerical tasks include ability to scan, fax, email, answer and route phone calls.

Qualifications: Must be eligible for Federal College Work Study. Must be able to work and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the public while maintaining a pleasant and courteous attitude. Previous office experience and/or customer service experience preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word/Excel) preferred. Availability to work 15-plus hours a week preferred. Availability to work during semester breaks (winter and summer) preferred. Lower-division students (freshman or sophomore) preferred. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK DURING SUMMER 2020.

Employer Profile: The SDSUcard Office is responsible for producing and issuing official SDSU identification cards to students, faculty and staff, as well as guest cards to the greater campus community. The SDSUcard Office provides photography services for walk-in card requests and is the pickup point for online photo uploads. The SDSUcard Office has partnered with U.S. Bank to provide checking and ATM services.

Commuter Life Academic Mentor
SDSU Student Life & Leadership

Wage:$13/hour

Description: Commuter Life Academic Mentors are San Diego State University students with successful academic backgrounds. Mentors serve as a role model for student mentees and provide office assistance and mentoring support. Through this position, you will be mentoring first-year freshmen commuter students. This position will begin in fall 2020.

The mentor will conduct biweekly individual mentoring sessions with assigned mentees using prepared mentoring curriculum; record details from each session in an online journal and log mentee attendance via the CheckPoint Presence mobile app at every meeting. The mentor will provide guidance and support to students in a variety of areas, including academic skill development, campus involvement, personal issues and navigating the university environment. There are biweekly 30- to 60-minute team meetings with a supervisor and other mentors and biweekly 15- to 30-minute individual meetings with a supervisor

Helix Academic Support Coach

Description: Helix Charter High school is a college preparatory program in which students must meet the A-G UC/CSU college admissions requirement to earn a diploma. As part of our pyramid of intervention, we employ academic coaches who facilitate student learning in our ninth-grade extended learning program, in Upper Grade Support Labs and in study skills environments.

Qualifications: Interested parties must have been out of high school for at least two years, and 60 units of completed college credit is preferred. Competence with high school math and science is also preferred.

Description: ISAFE Enterprises is seeking a qualified digital transcriber to assist in uploading digital instructional content into an HTML environment built in Drupal. Content includes documents (lesson plans, informational handouts, student worksheets and forms) as well as slideshows, videos, images and interactive lessons built in Adobe Captivate (HTML5 packages).

Qualifications: The tasks associated with this position require basic proficiency in HTML, aptitude in the English language (i.e. proper spelling, grammar and punctuation), meticulous attention to detail, excellent collaboration and communications skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
