Featured Scholarship: CalRTA Laura E. Settle Scholarship

CalRTA Laura E. Settle Scholarship
At least one award of $3,000
No minimum GPA required
Full-time enrollment NOT required (Credential)
Scholarship details
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be pursuing a single subject or multiple subject instruction credential
- Be a California resident
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by April 1
- Submit the following materials to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships:
- A brief autobiography and summary of how the scholarship will help you achieve your goal of certification.
- Two letters of recommendation, one from an instructor and one from a teacher with whom you have worked in the classroom.
- A personal essay of approximately 500 words that will enable those making scholarship decisions to learn more about you. Write about what motivated you to choose your major or program, your future career goals and any other information that will help reviewers make a well-informed decision.
