Marketing Intern
San Diego Metropolitan Transit System

Wage: $14/hour

Description:

The marketing communications intern will support the marketing and communications activities of the Metropolitan Transit System. The position reports directly to the marketing specialist. All functions include the individual entities and their consolidation.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist marketing team with content creation for social media and other MTS publications.
  • Draft and proofread e-newsletter content, news releases and media advisories.
  • Coordinate logistics and provide assistance for MTS outreach events.
  • Monitor media outlets for trending news and ideas about the transit industry and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and quarterly media reports for MTS marketing team analysis.
  • Research and evaluate marketing and digital content.
  • Maintain promotional item inventory and research new products including moving boxes and organizing storage areas.
  • Assist with daily administrative duties.
  • Take photos/video at press conferences and other events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Maintaining efficiency and economy in operations management requires flexibility in job assignments. While each employee shall have a primary responsibility for the job in which that employee has been hired or later promoted to, each employee may be expected to perform other jobs from time to time.

Human Resources Student Assistant
San Diego State University Center for Human Resources

Wage: $15/hour

Description:

  • Provide customer service to visitors of the Center for Human Resources. This includes SDSU faculty, staff, students, new hires, volunteers and prospective employees.
  • Support HR staff from various units with special projects.
  • Assist with incoming inquiries; respond or refer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Scan and index various documents into the content management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Federal Work Study funds.

This person will report to the VP of Product Development and help provide vision, manage the day to day of certain product initiatives and facilitate software testing for the organization.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have two-plus years of product development/project management experience. We are looking for a recent college graduate with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced event software environment.
