Jan-Feb 2013 - Quest for the Best

“Quest for the Best” Applications Available

Dr. James Kitchen, Vice President for Student Affairs, along with Student Life and Leadership, announces the 27th annual Vice Presidential Student Service Awards.  Under the theme of “Quest for the Best,” this award annually recognizes up to 10 outstanding student leaders.

A panel of SDSU faculty, staff, and past Quest winners evaluate candidate applications, interview the finalists, and select the award recipients.  Each Quest for the Best student winner nominates a SDSU faculty or staff mentor who has made the most significant contribution to their personal growth.

The Quest for the Best awards will be presented at a gala banquet in April. The ceremony is attended by winning students, two guests of each winner, and faculty/staff honorees.

Nominations are open to regularly enrolled SDSU students who have completed at least one year at SDSU and at least 75 units of college work, demonstrate academic excellence and student involvement, and participate in community service.

To apply, complete a “Quest for the Best” application which will be available on Friday, January 18, 2013 at www.sdsu.edu/quest.  Completed applications are due by February 11, 2013 at 4 p.m.
