Description: Accountable to the THP-Plus/FC Program Manager for supervision, training and monitoring residents of a SDYS-owned apartment complex; works cooperatively with program staff and SDYS Housing & Facilities Department to provide consistent services to all residents focused on safety. Provide crisis intervention during the evenings and weekends that includes immediate notification of supervisory or on-call staff, document and complete incident reports as required. Provide assistance in conflict resolution. Monitor & supervise & support residents’ application of independent living skills.
Working Conditions: RA lives on site, neighboring program residents as well as fair market residents. Compensation includes reduced rent, as well as paid part-time hours. RA is personally responsible for utilities, cable and telephone. RA is to be available to support THP program staff, facilities personnel, as well as residents, allowing for flexibility in schedule. Time spent on the premises, outside of the above referenced job duties, is completely voluntary and is considered time spent engaged in normal private pursuits, not work hours. Should program residents require assistance/intervention, while the Residential Advisor (RA) is engaged in personal activities, the RA must be available in a timely manner to render necessary services.
