Additionally, the intern will assist staff with various project maintenance tasks. Prospective interns should be hard working, enthusiastic and flexible individuals. You must be a FULL-TIME college student currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 undergraduate units or 6 graduate units, and have at least one year remaining of school. While school is in session, the intern may work a maximum of 20 hours per week, which may expand to 40 hours per week while school is not in session. Hours and days of work are flexible. The successful candidate will be expected to work close to the maximum number of hours allowed. Some irregular night and weekend work availability may be required.

Employer Profile: Residential Care Worker II positions are assigned to the Polinsky Children's Center, which is a 24-hour facility for the temporary emergency shelter of children who must be separated from their families for their own safety, or when parents cannot provide care. As a Residential Care Worker at Polinsky Children's Center, you will be working with children and youth from birth to 17 years of age. These children/youth come from all facets of life.
