It’s scholarship season, which means there are hundreds of opportunities for San Diego State University students to prepare—at least financially—for next year. Whether you’re an undeclared freshman or a graduate anthropology student, chances are there’s at least one, if not 20, scholarships that fit your student profile.
Each month leading up to the winter and spring application deadlines, @State will feature a scholarship from SDSU’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships online database. Apply for as many as you qualify for—it’s free, it’s easy, it’s online!

Osher Scholarship for California Community College Transfer Students
Awards of up to $2,500 each
Open to all majors
- Must have financial need
- Must be a transfer student to SDSU from a California Community College with at least 60 units completed
- Must submit a 500 word personal essay
The Osher Scholarship for California Community College Transfer Students was established in 2012 by a generous grant from the Bernard & Barbro Foundation of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund.
The Osher Scholarship for California Community College Transfer Students provides scholarships for SDSU students with demonstrated financial need who are transferring, or have transferred, from a California community college and who are, or will be, attending SDSU as juniors or seniors.
