Buy a Transit Pass, See the San Diego Symphony

Students interested in going green for their commute to campus, but who live too far away to walk or bike, can purchase a discounted transit pass good for unlimited rides on all non-Premium and non-Access Metropolitan Transit System, or MTS, buses, trolleys, NCTD BREEZE buses and SPRINTER rail cars.

Along with the environmental benefits, students who purchase the semester pass will also get a cultural benefit with a free San Diego Symphony ticket voucher being offered to fall passholders by MTS.

The college semester pass will cost SDSU students $152 for the fall and allows students to ride transit as much as they want between Aug. 19 and Dec. 31. The pass can be purchased until Sept. 27 at the Viejas Arena Box Office. Students can also purchase discounted monthly passes for $57.60. A valid SDSUcard is required at the time of purchase to buy the pass.

There are many reasons to purchase a transit semester pass:

  • Riding transit to campus, work and entertainment can be cost effective and convenient
  • Riding transit eliminates traffic and parking hassles
  • Taking a bus or the Trolley significantly reduces a student’s carbon footprint
