Aug-Sept 2012 - MTS Fall Pass

MTS Pass Gets You to SDSU, Concerts & More!

San Diego's Metropolitan Transit System is partnering with Live Nation to give SDSU students the opportunity to win tickets to great concerts this fall, just by taking a quick survey! This is part of the MTS initiative to find out what students think about public transit services.

  • Get more information on the tickets and the survey! (Note: Up to 120 pairs of concert tickets will be awarded; only one entry allowed per student.)

Pay Less and Get VIP Treatment!

MTS is also offering students a big discount on a transit pass, good for unlimited travel on MTS Buses and Trolleys through the end of 2012. Semester passes are on sale at Viejas Arena from August 20 to September 28 for $155.

As an added bonus, the semester pass will give students a way to "express" to the front of the line for concerts held at House of Blues and Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre. For Fall 2012 concerts, the first 25 students with concert tickets who show their college ID with a semester pass sticker at the venue’s box office will receive a pair of “Pass the line” vouchers for that concert.

Why Buy a Transit Pass?

There are many reasons to purchase a transit semester pass.

Riding transit to campus, work and entertainment:

  • Is cost effective
  • Eliminates traffic and parking hassles
  • Significantly reduces a student’s carbon footprint
    • Automobiles are the single greatest cause of greenhouse gases. They emit about a pound of CO2 every mile they are driven. (Riding transit also reduces our country's dependence on foreign oil.)
