Student Assistant Passport Acceptance Agent
SDSU Passport Office

Wage: $12/hour

Description: The position requires the Passport Agent to be trained to be an official passport acceptance agent following U.S. government guidelines – training is provided. Selected applicant must be a U.S. citizen with proof of citizenship and must pass a background check. Selected applicant must complete a mandatory eight-hour training in order to process U.S. Passport applications. The Passport Agent student assistant position consists mainly of processing applications for U.S. government-issued passports.

Student Assistant

Wage: $12/hour

Description: Assist with administrative work, such as running errands, maintaining spreadsheets, filing papers, copying or scanning documents; maintaining and cleaning the office area and equipment (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.); answering phone calls received at the help desk; answering basic questions and referring callers to the appropriate departments; and providing basic computer support to staff and faculty. Training will be provided as needed. Must be able to handle a variety of responsibilities and switch gears on short notice.

Description: Develop web applications using Microsoft.Net MVC and Web API, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and Angular JS. Provide input to assist in the development of project and staffing plans based on your understanding of technical solutions. Must be able to understand business requirements clearly and translate those into technical tasks with realistic timelines and clear success criteria and to meet architectural standards that you help develop. Description: Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning and forecasting; help facilitate decision-making and future business strategies. As a member of Oracle’s finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results and preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Prepare recommendations based on analyses. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount-driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. May participate in cross-functional programs and projects.

Videographer Internship Intern-Staff Writer—September - December 2019

Wage: $13/hour

Description: Under the direction of the associate editor, the intern will have the opportunity to work alongside Voice of San Diego reporters and help develop impactful stories. Intern will obtain a better understanding of local politics and compelling investigative storytelling that serves the San Diego community. In addition to helping reporters with projects, the intern is expected to pursue his or her own stories and pitch ideas to the editorial team. Intern will learn to gather and analyze facts through interviews, investigations or observations about current events and topics, and write stories in an objective and accurate manner, describing the events, background, meaning and effects.
