Scholarship season is in full swing! Whether you’re an undeclared freshman, or a graduate anthropology student, there are some amazing opportunities to earn money for school through the SDSU Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Check out @State each month — and the SDSU’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships online database — for the latest scholarship opportunities for SDSU students! It’s free, it’s easy, and it’s online!

SDSU Alumni Association Scholarship

At least one award of $5,000
Minimum 3.20 overall cumulative GPA
Must be enrolled full-time
Open to all majors and class levels

Scholarship details

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
  • Have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by April 1
  • Submit the following materials to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships:
    • An unofficial transcript from the school you are currently attending
    • An essay of no more than 500 words describing how and why you will stay involved with SDSU after graduation. Alumni involvement makes this scholarship possible. Essays longer than 500 words will not be considered.
