1. Why did you choose SDSU?

I was deciding between the University of Kentucky and SDSU. My sister lived down here and was going to school at the University of California, San Diego, so it was appealing to have her around since I was leaving home for the first time. We had visited her one summer and there were so many places that offered something different, we were never bored and that’s what I loved.

2. What inspired you to declare your major?

I enjoy science and was always interested in the medical field. I have always had a passion for helping people. I liked how being a nurse is very personal and you can offer support physically and emotionally.

3. What is the best piece of advice you ever received?

A family friend of mine always says “Where there is a will, there is a way.” I believe that if you are determined enough that you will do whatever it takes to get there and make it happen for yourself.

4. What are your future goals?

My future goals are to graduate nursing school and to get a job working at a hospital. I also want to move out of California for a few years to work either on the east coast or even out of the country.

5. What is the first website you look at every day?

Every morning without fail I look at Instagram, if that counts.

6. What experience at SDSU has changed your life the most?

Living in the dorms was a pretty life changing experience. I learned a lot about myself being away from home and living somewhere that was very new to me. I was very fortunate that I lived on a floor with some amazing girls that have become my best friends.

7. What is the most interesting or surprising thing about you?

I think most people are always surprised to hear that I have five sisters or that I am allergic to chocolate.

Bonus Questions

1. What was the last movie you saw? Thumbs up or down?

I recently just watched a movie with my sisters called "The Other Woman." Thumbs up, it was hilarious!

2. What city would you like to visit or visit again?

I would love to visit Dublin, Ireland or anywhere in Europe!

3. What kind of music do you listen to/what are your favorite bands?

I mostly listen to mainstream music, whatever is on the radio’s top 100 is what I end up listening to. Lately I have really been enjoying listening to SoMo and Timeflies Tuesday.
