Band Run

8:30 am, Residence Halls

Bring your family and school spirit to this festive, morning walk led by SDSU’s marching band and cheerleaders. Residential students will meet at the residence halls at 8:30 am. Commuter students will meet in the Aztec Student Union Courtyard at 8:30 am. You won’t want to miss this fun, memorable excursion through the heart of the campus.

New Student & Family Convocation

10:00 am, Viejas Arena

Join President Sally Roush and Vice President for Student Affairs Eric Rivera for this official welcome to the SDSU family.

Aztec Football Swarm

5 - 7 pm, Aztec Football Practice Field (Behind parking 7)

Join the Aztec football team and Head Coach Rocky Long for a special open practice. You will have the opportunity to take a group photo of your class on the field, learn and participate in practice drills, and play lawn games. After practice, join the team for a welcome BBQ with FREE food and t-shirts!

Red and Black Welcome Back Dance

10 pm – 2 am, outside Hepner Hall

Get ready for a night of dancing, entertainment and free food! You don’t want to miss out on this annual event to connect with and meet new friends. Dance the night away, and wear your SDSU colors: Red and Black. Caricature drawings, henna tattoos, and many more activities round out the evening!

It’s Free!

Welcome Week events are FREE for SDSU students with a valid Red ID.
