for Study Abroad

SDSU offers a wide array of study abroad programs with over 350 partner universities in more than 50 countries.

Students should research all options and coordinate with a Study Abroad Advisor to select a program type that will best meet their goals. Students can also discuss program options with Peer Advisors.

STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS

Study at a foreign university for a year, semester or summer. Take classes alongside local students.

Short-term (generally 1.5 to 6 weeks) programs taught and led by an SDSU professor available to both SDSU students and general public.
Study options vary from semester to summer with foreign and local students.
Internships are working positions arranged for students, often as part of a credit-bearing study abroad program.
Academic service learning is credit-bearing community service activities arranged for students as part of a study abroad program
Students wishing to pursue a non-SDSU program must submit a petition. Learn more about the petition process and how to get credit for this type of experience.
Conduct research on an approved credit-bearing program or under the direction of an SDSU Faculty member.
