The Pride Center at San Diego State University

Here you can find information pertaining to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, ally, and many other communities at SDSU. The Pride Center, since being opened at SDSU in Spring 2014, not only offers its own programming and services, but also acts as a hub for the vibrant resources of the SDSU campus - take a look around!

Pride Parade Registration

It's time for San Diego Pride! This years Parade will be held on July 15th 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM in Hillcrest. San Diego State has the reputation of being one of the largest contingencies in the parade and we want to keep that tradition going! Below is a link to register as a parade participant for SDSU. Once you have registered for the event, the SDSU Pride Center will keep you informed on next steps to get you ready for the parade. Our Mission

The Pride Center at San Diego State University creates, sustains, and strengthens an open, inclusive, safe, and affirming gathering space and campus environment for persons of all sexual and gender identities and their allies. 

  • The Pride Center facilitates campus-wide education, awareness, dialogue, intellectual exploration, understanding and research on issues related to sexuality and gender.
  • The Pride Center fosters the development of student leadership skills and enhances student empowerment, personal and professional growth, and community service.
  • The Pride Center provides resources and support services to assist students in their process of sexual and gender self-identity development and to address the unique needs and challenges of students who may experience discrimination, alienation, disenfranchisement, harassment, intimidation or other barriers to student success as a result of their sexual orientation or gender identity and expression.
  • As an entity of Student Life & Leadership, The Pride Center advocates for social justice and equality, for a campus climate free of prejudice and oppression, for community building, and for the celebration of SDSU’s rich cultural and social diversity.
