Paying Basic Tuition and Fees at SDSU

Check Student Account Services Website (Money Matters) for complete fee information.

You must have a financial aid tuition and fee payment postponement, paid your first installment on a payment plan with Student Account Services, or paid your Tuition and Fees in full before you will be allowed to register for classes.* This is in addition to the Intent to Enroll deposit previously paid.

When paying online, your fee payment should be posted within a half hour, but no later than the next business day. Online payment options include eCheck (an electronic debit from your bank account), MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. A service charge will be assessed with all credit card payment transactions. There are no services charges when paying via eCheck.

It is recommended that you purchase your SDSUCard (student ID card) when you pay your fees. Students whose fees are postponed by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships should also purchase an SDSUCard. Bring your receipt and official identification to Orientation to pick up your SDSUCard.

If you are receiving financial aid and are eligible for a fee postponement, you will be able to register on your scheduled date and time, as your fee payment will be postponed. When your financial aid award is disbursed, tuition and fees will be automatically paid from those funds.

    Financial Aid Information

The university will use your awarded financial aid (grants, loans and/or scholarships) to help pay tuition and fees, on-campus housing, and other university charges that you owe. If your aid is insufficient to pay what you owe, you will be responsible for making payments with your own resources. After all university charges for the semester are paid, any remaining financial aid will be transferred to your bank account, so be sure to sign up for direct deposit on the Student Account Services Website.

For more information, visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships website.

*In order to register for classes, you MUST complete the following steps:

      (See the fee schedules)
