  2. Leave of absence or transfer: Notify the ISC before taking a leave of absence, leaving your program, or transferring to another school.
  3. Don't work without work authorization: Carefully review employment regulations and apply for off-campus work authorization in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain a valid passport at all times: Do not let your passport expire.
  5. Maintain a valid I-20/DS-2019 at all times: Apply to extend your I-20 / DS-2019 if not graduating in time.
  6. Maintain full-time enrollment:
    - Full time is 12 units for undergrads / 9 units for grad students. Do not drop below this without consulting an advisor.
    - Learn about exceptions to full-time enrollment, as well as leave of absence and concurrent enrollment.
  7. Maintain health insurance: Keep your health insurance current.
  8. Maintain a valid U.S. and foreign/permanent addresses: Learn how to make updates.
    - Not having valid address is a violation of your status
  9. Maintain a valid email address: Learn how to make updates.
  10. Focus on your studies: If your GPA drops too low, you could be academically disqualified. If this happens, you will be unable to enroll in courses so you will be unable to maintain your student visa status. Please speak with an advisor if this applies to you.
