Fall 2017 - New International Freshman Orientation

If you have been admitted as a new matriculated international student you must:

  1. Complete the Immigration Pre-Arrival Form
  2. Apply for Early Arrival through your Housing Portal
  3. Arrive in San Diego by August 20, 2017 
  4. Early Immigration Check-In on  Tuesday August 15- Friday August 18 from 12-2pm
  5. Attend the required ISC Immigration Check-in on Monday, August 21, 2017
  6. Attend the required SDSU International Orientation on Tuesday, August 22, 2017
  7. ELM/EPT Test Prep. Workshop: Wednesday, August, 23 2017, at International Student Center at 11am. Click here to SIGN UP.

Immigration Check-In | Monday,  August 21, 2017

When  & where:

August 21, International Student Center
Your personal check-in time will be emailed to you before you arrive.

Documents needed:

You will need to bring with you the following documents for Immigration Check-in:

We will be making copies of these documents:

Copies need to be made once you have arrived in the United States to ensure your entry documents have been stamped.

  • Picture page (bio) of your Passport
  • Visa page
  • Arrival stamp: Stamp placed in your passport at the airport; usually on the page across from your visa

Peer Mentor Program

International students who come to SDSU often face unique challenges from being in a new and unfamiliar environment. This can impact a new student's social or academic adjustment.

We can pair you with an established SDSU student who understands these issues and can help you during this period of adjustment.

Required 1:1 Advising Session

All international freshmen are required to to meet with an ISC advisor at the beginning of fall semester. These advising sessions are intended to support your transition to SDSU and to help you familiarize yourself with campus culture, campus resources, policies, procedures and student life opportunities.
