International students, find everything you need to know about working at SDSU and off campus.
Before you may work, you must obtain a Social Security Number (SSN). This is for tax purposes and does not authorize you to work. Learn about paying taxes on your earnings.
There are many opportunities for finding work on campus. The ISC encourages newly arrived international students to wait until they have adjusted to life at SDSU before they seek on-campus employment.
Working off campus without authorization has serious consequences and could result in the loss of your student visa. Carefully read all of the information that applies to you and your visa status before you begin any work in the U.S.
