Diversity Awareness Certificate

The Diversity Awareness Certificate is a two-semester social justice program. Students participate in a number of learning formats to critically examine their own beliefs regarding their personal identities while also learning about the identities of others. Learning experiences include seminars, speakers, group activities and group dialogues.

To obtain certification, students must:

  • Attend one SDSU event per month of semester (total of 4).
  • Attend three campus dialogue events per semester.
  • Produce one article submission and one journal entry per month during each semester (total of 3).
