Engineering Intern

The Engineering Intern will report to the Manager of Capital Projects and will assist System Engineers with planning, scheduling, reviewing and monitoring engineering design and construction projects, including rail extensions, bus and rail facilities, and other transit related projects. Additionally, the intern will assist staff with various project maintenance tasks. Prospective interns should be hard working, enthusiastic and flexible individuals. You must be a FULL-TIME college student currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 undergraduate units or 6 graduate units, and have at least one year remaining of school. While school is in session, the intern may work a maximum of 20 hours per week, which may expand to 40 hours per week while school is not in session. Hours and days of work are flexible. The successful candidate will be expected to work close to the maximum number of hours allowed. Some irregular night and weekend work availability may be required.

Indoor Skydiving Instructor

Salary: $15-17 /hourly + commission

We will be a local attraction and we will have people traveling to San Diego just to train in our facility. Daily tasks may include, training students in classrooms and in the wind tunnels, gearing them up and down, and acting as a controller.

Description: Teaching, coaching, and safely assisting guests in all aspects of their experience at San Diego’s premier wind tunnel. Providing mentorship, support and coaching through our training program to customers and skydivers so they can achieve their fullest potential.  Instruction of classrooms, workshops, gearing up customers and operating the wind tunnel as a controller may be some of the daily operational tasks. The purpose of an instructor is to provide a safe and exceptional experience to every customer and to have fun doing it! No experience is necessary.

Early Childhood Resource Development Specialist

Residential Care Worker
County Of San Diego

Salary: $32,676.80 salary

Employer Profile: Residential Care Worker II positions are assigned to the Polinsky Children's Center, which is a 24-hour facility for the temporary emergency shelter of children who must be separated from their families for their own safety, or when parents cannot provide care.  As a Residential Care Worker at Polinsky Children's Center, you will be working with children and youth from birth to 17 years of age.  These children/youth come from all facets of life.  They have been removed from their home due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment and may have been exposed to domestic violence, drugs or other trauma.  Children may also be entering Polinsky who are currently in foster care and are experiencing a change in their placement.

Description: Employee who work at Polinsky are expected to provide a consistent, high level of care and supervision as well as assure the health, safety and wellbeing of youth at all times, while maintaining excellence in customer service and public trust.  Under general supervision, Residential Care Worker II incumbents perform the full range of duties involved with care, supervision and assessment of children. Responsibilities include working with children in all age groups, handling the more difficult care and assessment situations to include attending to the specialized needs of children with behavioral and/or emotional problems, orienting new staff and providing technical guidance to lower level Residential Care Workers, volunteers and contract workers.
