Facilities Services

Message from the Director

Welcome and thank you for visiting!

Facilities Services is completing an exciting  year of many changes!  We have hired three new people for our management team; Tony Kopacz, Custodial Manager, Josh Koss, Landscape Services Manager, and Brad Songhurst, Senior Associate Director. These individuals bring a wealth of talent, experience and enthusiasm to our campus.

Facilities Services has also just rolled out its new Work Management System (Aim) which will allow you to put in a Work Order and receive automatic notifications of when it was inputted, when it is expected to be done and when it was finished. Facilities Services is hoping this new capability will expedite its service to you as well as add a layer of transparency that was heretofore not available.

We have changed the name of Work Control to Facilities Service Center.  We think this is more in keeping with our role as a service provider. It is a role we do not want to forget.

There are still more changes to come as we are still recruiting for an Assistant Director of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services as well as an Assistant Director of Administrative Services.

All of this implies better things to come from Facilities Services to San Diego State University.  If you would like to know more of what we are doing or have comments on how we might improve, please call me or one of the FS Management Team. We would be happy to come over and visit, listen and share the details all of us are excited about.

Go Aztecs!
