Faculty in the Department of Educational Leadership are involved in several initiatives which provide opportunities for continuous leadership development.
The National Center for the Twenty-first Century Schoolhouse supports the planning, design, and construction of learner-centered school facilities through communication, research, and training.
The National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST) was started in 2005 as a strategy to identify and study some of the nation’s most successful urban schools and continues today with a systematic approach for increasing the number of urban schools nationwide that achieve exceptional academic results.
The mission of the Chinese and American Educational Leadership Symposium is to develop a lasting collegial and collaborative intellectual exchange between school leaders in The People’s Republic of China and the United States in order to prepare students on both sides of the Pacific to work together and thrive in a global society.
