Admitted Students - What to Expect Next

  1. After you have been admitted into the program, you can expect a welcome e-mail in May containing information about class schedules and registration codes.
  2. If you are put on the waitlist after registering for your classes, there is nothing you need to be concerned about. Enrollments might be set at a lower number initially, but will increase as the Fall semester approaches. If you are waitlisted, please e-mail the according instructors so they are aware of this. Faculty contact information can be found at the Department of Counseling and School Psychology (CSP) Faculty page.
  3. Faculty uses the summer to prepare for Fall classes, book lists can be accessed through the syllabi once faculty posts them in the according course space in Blackboard; syllabi will be available to you on the first day of classes at the latest.
  4. In order to log into Blackboard, you will need to create an SDSU e-mail account. Follow the instructions on the SDSUid Account Activation website to activate your SDSU e-mail account.
  5. We will hold an in-person orientation on campus some time during the first two weeks of classes. While attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you attend as it will give you an opportunity to meet your fellow students and faculty.
  6. There will be two mandatory three-day face-to-face intensives on campus which are typically held on the third weekend of January and June. You will be notified about the exact days in early September so you can plan accordingly.
  7. For any financial aid related matters, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
