We are seeking to honor school counselors and/or college access partner who have gone above and beyond  the call of duty as leaders and advocates for immigrant and undocumented youth!

Do you know a school counselor or college access partners who deserves to be recognized for his/her dedication to supporting college and career readiness for immigrant and undocumented students?

This conference is specifically designed to equip school  counselors with the knowledge, attitudes and skills to support student access and equity to postsecondary opportunities, funding options, and the college  application process. This award nomination seeks to recognize school counselors who have supported students by removing the barriers often faced by immigrant and undocumented students to higher education and by assisting them in navigating the complex labyrinth to higher education. Testimonials from undocumented youth often indicate the most crucial factor in their academic success has been the support received from caring adults in their lives.

CRITERIA:

· How did your school counselor and/or college access partner advocate for you as an Immigrant and/or Undocumented Youth?
· How did your school counselor and/or college access positively impact your life?
· How did your school counselor and/or college access help you on your path to higher education and/or become college and career ready?
