Celebrating Success: New SDSU Doctors!

SDSU EdD program celebrates the graduation of new doctoral degree recipients. These new Drs. will continue to be advocates for equity, inquiry, and institutional responsibility in education.

The work of Dr. Frank Harris III and Dr. J. Luke Wood was acknowledged on C-SPAN after it picked up a U.S. Commission on Civil Rights discussion about access to higher education for minority students.

EdD Student Tita Gray Delivers TedX

Fear, as research states, creates moments of fight or flight in everyone. Tita, however, does not believe that all fear is rational or bad. Rather, it is how we channel our fears that make them good or bad. In her talk, Tita highlights how her greatest fear provided her with her strongest values, and discusses how to channel some of our greatest fears.

One of SDSU's Aztec for Life advertisements features Dr. Frank Harris III in Southwest Magazine (May issue). Dr. Harris is an Associate Professor of Postsecondary Education and core faculty in the EdD program in Community College Leadership.

African American Studies added to CA's Discipline List.

In Spring 2015, the California Community Colleges Board of Governors approved recommendations from the Academic Senate for California Communities Colleges to add African American Studies to the State’s Discipline List.
