Compact for Success

Demonstrating Compact Readiness in English and Math
for Compact for Success

In order to remain eligible for Compact for Success, in addition to meeting all other Compact requirements, seniors must present evidence of compact readiness at the time of application, or be on track to demonstrate compact readiness, in both English and Math by the end of the senior year.

Compact readiness can be demonstrated using any of the following English and mathematics assessments:

SAT Score of 550 or higher in Evidence Based Reading and Writing Score of 570 or higher
ACT Score of 22 or higher Score of 23 or higher
CAASPP
(only available to high school juniors)
"Standard Exceeded" (indicates readiness for college-level English) "Standard Exceeded" (indicates readiness for college-level Math)
Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Score of 3 or higher on either Language and Composition or Composition and Literature exam Score of 3 or higher on Calculus (AB or BC) or Statistics
International Baccalaureate
Score of 4 or higher Score of 4 or higher
College Board Redesigned SAT Subject Test
Score of 570 or higher SAT Subject Test in Mathematics (Level 1 or 2)
College course (C grade or higher) English Composition with C- or higher grade Course must be above intermediate algebra level with C- or higher grade

 

Conditionally Ready Status

An opportunity to demonstrate compact readiness when all other means above have been expended.

TYPE ENGLISH MATHEMATICS

CAASPP
(only available to high school juniors)

Conditional Ready Status

“Standard met:” Conditionally ready for college-level English.

Must complete the year-long specific senior English class with a grade of C- or higher.

Final high school transcript is submitted as evidence.

“Standard met:” Conditionally ready for college-level math.

Must complete an approved year-long, senior-year mathematics experience with intermediate algebra or Integrated Math II as a prerequisite, or higher-level mathematics with C- or higher.

Final high school transcript is submitted as evidence.
