Post-GradFest Ticket Distribution
Beginning Friday, March 25, students who did not claim tickets at GradFest can obtain them at the Viejas Arena Ticket Office.
If a student does not claim tickets by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 6, the Ticket Office cannot guarantee a full allotment of commencement tickets.
Beginning Monday, May 9, the Ticket Office will distribute remaining tickets, if any are available, to any SDSU student with a valid RedID. These tickets will be distributed two-at-a-time on a first-come, first-served basis.
Proxy Ticket Distribution
Beginning at GradFest, March 22-24, and at the Ticket Office, March 25 through May 6, a friend or relative may claim tickets for graduating students who still live in San Diego but cannot come to the university to pick up their tickets. The student must submit the Proxy Ticket Request Form no less than 24 hours before the date their proxy comes to pick up tickets. If the form is not received within this time frame, tickets will not be available for the proxy to pick up.
The proxy should know which commencement ceremony the student will be participating in. The proxy does not need to have a form to pick up the tickets, but they will need to present their own, government-issued ID. The tickets will be in an envelope with the proxy's name on it and that envelope will be at the designated line for the graduating student's ceremony at GradFest or at the Ticket Office.
Proxy ticket distribution will not be allowed during the additional ticket distribution date on Monday, May 9. On that date, additional tickets will only be given out to SDSU students who present a valid RedID.
