Tickets
Admission tickets are required for all ceremonies. Candidates who applied for graduation receive complimentary, reserved seating. Please note, SDSU does not authorize the sale of complimentary tickets.
GradFest Ticket Distribution
- Date: March 26-28
- Time: 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Location: GradFest, in front of the SDSU Bookstore
SDSU RedID card or a valid, government-issued picture ID is required to claim tickets.
Ceremony Ticket Allotment
The number of tickets available to each student is dependent upon the number of candidates graduating in each college. The ticket allotment by college is:
Health and Human Services: 8
Business Administration: 7
Professional Studies and Fine Arts: 6
Education and Undergraduate Studies: 12
Sciences: 7
Engineering: 12
Arts and Letters: 6
Post-GradFest Ticket Distribution
Beginning Friday, March 29, students who did not claim tickets at GradFest can claim them at the Viejas Arena Ticket Office.
If a student does not claim tickets by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 10, the ticket office cannot guarantee the student will receive a full allotment of commencement tickets.
Beginning Monday, May 13, the ticket office will distribute remaining tickets, if any are available, to students and members of the general public. These tickets will be distributed two-at-a-time on a first-come, first-served basis.
Proxy Ticket Distribution
A friend or relative may claim tickets for a students.
The friend/relative must:
- Present the graduating student’s RedID card or a valid, government-issued picture ID
- Know from which college the student is graduating
