Friday, August 23
Templo del Sol 9 pm - midnight, outside Hepner Hall
This event is an official welcome for new Aztecs to SDSU. Take the ceremonial walk through the Hepner Hall arches, where you'll be greeted by continuing students, alumni, faculty and staff. This is your first official night as an Aztec! Meet fellow classmates, learn the fight song, and participate in our traditions at SDSU. Saturday, August 24
Red and Black Welcome Back Dance 10 pm - 2 am, Campanile Walkway
Head to the Hepner Hall stage for a night of dancing, entertainment, and free food! You don’t want to miss out on this fabulous annual event. Dance the night away, and feel free to wear your Aztec colors: Red and Black. Music, free caricature drawings, henna tattoos, and many more activities round out the evening! [Dance photos]

Thursday, August 29
Late Night Recess 9 pm - 1 am, Performing Arts Plaza (between the Music Building, ENS and Don Powell Theatre)
Take a trip back to childhood days! Come and enjoy games and activities we all loved as kids with a grown-up twist including tag, 4-square and obstacle courses!  Dance and sing along to retro music all while indulging in nostalgic snacks that will transport you back in time.

Friday, August 30
Campus Carnival 10 pm - 2 am, Campanile Walkway
Take a ride on the ferris wheel or test your skills at one of many carnival games. There is something for everyone at the Campus Carnival! [Carnival photos]

Saturday, August 31
Black Light Block Party 9:30 pm – 1 am, south end of Campanile Walkway
Don’t be left in the dark! After the Sky Show at the football game, enjoy a black light illuminated experience filled with music, dancing, laser tag, glow in the dark giveaways, a photobooth, and other fun-filled activities!

Sunday, September 1
Drive-In Movie 9 pm – 1 am,  Parking Lot F
Grab a lawn chair, a blanket, or bring your car for a Sunday funday! Enjoy the movie Fast & Furious 6 under the stars on a huge 52-foot inflatable screen while indulging in ice cream, kettlecorn, hot dogs, pretzels, and candy. It’s first-come, first-served so come early!

Friday, September 6
Comedy Explosion 9 pm - 1 am, Peterson Gym
Gather with other Aztecs to watch some of the hottest comedians perform live. The fall 2013 line-up includes Hannibal Buress (headliner), James Davis, Byron Bowers, Marcella Arguello, and Grant Cotter [Check out bios, clips, photos and past performers]

Saturday, September 7
Paint Blast 10 pm - 2 am, ENS 700 Field
What do you get when you combine more than 1,000 SDSU students, 500 gallons of neon paint, and 20,000 watts of heart pumping sound? The most talked about College Paint Party in the country! Students are encouraged to wear white! [Paint Blast photos]

Friday, September 13
Screen on the Green 9 pm - midnight, on the Aztec Green
This is a popular event, so bring a blanket and claim your spot on the grass early. Movie fans will gather around a giant screen at Aztec Green, near the trolley station. Enjoy free popcorn as you watch the blockbuster hit Iron Man 3! [Screen on the Green photos]

Saturday, September 14
Monte Carlo 9 pm – 1 am, Parking Lot G
Come try your luck at the poker tables! Take your chances with roulette, poker and craps, and bid your “winnings” on amazing prizes! Then grab a helmet, climb into a Go-Kart, and take your luck on the speedway! Don’t forget to enjoy the mocktails and entertainment throughout the night! [Monte Carlo photos]

Thursday, September 19
Headphone Disco 9 pm – 1 am, Peterson Gym
Pick up your wireless headphones at the entrance and dance your heart out as you switch between different genres of music brought to you by two DJs! Throwback Thursday invites you to enjoy a photo graffiti wall, wax hands, and airbrush tattoos! You won’t want to miss this wireless headphone phenomenon!

Saturday, September 21
Screen on the Green 9 pm - midnight, on the Aztec Green
Calling all movie fans! Join your fellow Aztecs and enjoy free popcorn as you watch the hit film This is the End!

Thursday, December 12
Midnight Study Break 9 pm - midnight, in East Commons
Come and enjoy this fun event alongside fellow SDSU students in need of a finals week break. There will be music, prizes, games, stress-relievers, study tips, and of course, great breakfast food! [Midnight Study Break photos]
